Safe Passage Denim & Diamonds follow up

October 27, 2011

First Tennessee Human Resource Agency’s Safe Passage Domestic Violence Shelter Program is proud to announce that their annual “fun” raiser has netted over $10,000.  “This is a great achievement during these difficult financial times. We are grateful to the community for supporting our program and to our supporters who came out and enjoyed the entertainment and bought auction items” says Lynn Armstrong, Program Director.

Safe Passage is a domestic violence program where survivors of family violence and their children can begin the process of breaking the cycle of violence in their lives.  We provide emergency shelter, counseling, advocacy, transportation, referrals and follow-up for victims of domestic violence.  Since opening the doors in 1996, we have helped over 3,600 victims and their families through shelter and outreach programs.
